IDM Version2 - connection problems fixed Please download the new version of IDM (version 2) that fixes some minor connection problems (click on the picture). IDM (Ismaili Date Messenger) IDM (Ismaili Date Messenger) is a free instant messaging service that you can use to communicate with other members of Ismaili Date even when they are offline. How does it work? It allows you to exchange messages in real time with members of Ismaili Date. Based on the same principle as the site, it allows Premium members to communicate with other premium and regular members alike. However, it restricts regular members to communicate with Premium Members only. The instant messaging software enables you to set five seperate lists of friends who also use the program (Who's online, My Favorites, My Interests, Whose Favorite am I, Whose Interest am I). Those lists are set and updated each time you log into the site and once set, you can see if each friend is online at a particular moment. If so, you can begin a conversation with them quickly and easily.  You may leave a message even when they are offline, they will get it when they open their messenger.  Please note that No messages from other members will be transmitted or stored while you are in invisible mode. You simply become an invisible observer. Installation Download this zip file (IDM2.zip - 1 Mb) on your desktop, and unzip it. Run the exe program and install. First, log onto the site to generate the list of the recent members online.  To log into your Messenger, please use your site username and password.  Due to timezone difference, you might not be able at first get connected with those online. Leave your messenger connected and and will see members log and contact you as they come online.  Invisible members will not be able to be contacted. Who's Online This panel lists 50 members that logged prior to your loging on the site. The list is generated each time you log in and placed in your messenger folder on the site.   In case you wish to add one particular member, you need to add them to your interest or favs list.  To maintain an updated list and be seen by others, it is important that you log onto the site before you start your messenger.  Only those online will appear in this tab. My Favorites This panel lists all the members that you have marked as your favs through the site. You can always delete or add members by going to the site and view the My Favs List in your profile. My Interests This panel lists all the members that you have contacted and shown your interest through the site. You can always delete or add members by going to the site and view the My Interests List in your profile. Whose Favorite This panel lists all the members that marked as you as their favorite through the site. You can always view the list of whose fav you are by going to the site and view the Whose Fav am I? List in your profile. Whose Interest This panel lists all the members that have contacted you and shown their interest through the site. You can always view the list of whose interest by going to the site and view the Who is interested in me? List in your profile. If you are using a firewall If you are using a firewall, your program will most probably prevent the Messenger to connect on the internet.  Please go to the program setting and allow IDM to connect on the internet.
